Our breakout board simplifies the use of rotary encoders by utilizing easyC technology, making it easily connectable with microcontrollers or other circuits. It accepts input from a rotary encoder and translates it into signals that your microcontroller can interpret. In addition to the aforementioned rotary encoder module, the board also features a small ATTiny404 microcontroller, as well as a switch for selecting the I2C address. This breakout board comes with 2 easyC connectors for easy plug-and-play into the easyC system. If you don’t want to use easyC, the module can also be used via standard headers.

KW12-3 is a standard microswitch – it’s activated by the external force on the lever. Releasing the force we deactivate it. This system is very quick and practical, it allows dynamic changes in the switch. The lever itself is able to rotate – it has a little wheel on the top. Reed switch is a switch that is activated within the range of the magnetic field. Within its glass capsule, it has two metal wires that will move when they are near the magnet and thus “activate” switch.

Large pushbutton will often be more practical than the small one (classic pushbutton). With dimensions of 12mm x 12mm it can be pushed in the breadboard, but it is also suitable for ordinary drill boards.

A rotary encoder can be rotated endlessly – it has no end. That’s the main difference between it and the potentiometer and the reason why it’s more suitable for usage in certain applications. Its output (rotation outcome) is written in gray code, therefore you’ll need a microcontroller in order to use it.

It also has inbuilt pushbutton which makes it suitable for different selections.
